Spiral Double Bolt Clamps

Spiral Clamp

Clamps for External Convoluted Cover:

Hoses with the Convoluted Outer Cover needs a spiral clamp that the wire drops into the groove of the Convoluted Cover for secure clamping.  The helix spirals on the hose can wind either Clockwise (Right Hand Clamp) or Counter Clockwise (Left Hand Clamp).

To determine what your hose is, you first look at the end of the hose.  If the helix spirals winds clockwise away from you like Figure A, your hose is considered to have a clockwise spiral and requires a Right Hand Clamp to securely clamp your hose.  Conversely, if the helix spirals winds counter clockwise away from you like Figure B, your hose is considered to have a counter clockwise spiral and requires a Left Hand Clamp to securely clamp your hose.

Kuriyama external convoluted hoses use mostly Left Hand Clamps; Pacific Echo and Kana Flex use Right Hand Clamps; Goodyear uses both Left and Right Hand Clamps. More than 1 clamp may be needed per hose end on sizes larger than 3″ID.

Sizing:

Our sizing is the last four digits of the SKU.  The first 2 digits are the whole number inch size and the last 2 digits are the decimal size.  Take the SLBC-0150 SKU as an example.  Slip a decimal point between the 1 and 5 and it becomes 1.50.  This clamp is for a 1-1/2″ ID hose.
